Your Provisional Fellow year – why Ballarat?
Join a team of 27 consultant anaesthetists, 8 anaesthetic registrars and 3 HMOs. Our six main theatres and two procedure rooms undertake nearly 10,000 cases per year, and our department supports an obstetric service of 1200 deliveries per annum, as well as a two room Cardiac Intervention Suite. All surgery specialties are catered for with the exception of cardiac surgery and neurosurgery.
Two specialist pain physicians lead our Acute Pain Service and conduct clinics for persistent patients, as well as perform interventional pain procedures.
Opportunities exist to gain further experience in paediatric, obstetric, thoracic and vascular anaesthesia prior to commencing specialist practice.
Excellent opportunities to use your non-clinical time for research, teaching and other professional development activities.
