Operations Manager

Grampians Regional Palliative Care Team & Continence Service

Full Time – Fixed Term Until 31 December 2021

80 hours a fortnight with monthly ADO


Ballarat Health Services – Community Programs provides a range of integrated health services that maximise the capability of individuals to live independently within their personal and social contexts.


We currently have a fixed term opportunity for a proven leader in our Operations Manager role within our Regional Palliative Care and Continence Service Teams.


The Regional Palliative Care Team facilitates the ongoing development of palliative care services in the Grampians region through clinical consultation, education, collaborative strategic planning, the preparation of written materials and quality improvement processes.


The Continence Service is a multi-disciplinary team of health professionals offering clinical assessment and management for those who experience any type of continence problem. The service offers advice, education and support to men, women and children through individual management plans. The service also offers assistance to carers and health professionals.


The Manager role provides high-level clinical support, supervision and direction in the day-to-day operations of the programs. The Manager is responsible for overseeing clinical practice within both teams and implementing improvements in service delivery, ensuring the programs are delivered in a cost effective and efficient manner in accordance with program guidelines.


The Manager is required to work closely with other programs and initiatives to ensure the client’s journey is integrated and coordinated.


You will require:

A Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
Demonstrated experience in managing projects in a health field.
Demonstrated high-level communication, liaison, interpersonal and negotiation skills working with multiple stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to provide effective and professional leadership to a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across the service.
Demonstrated skills in financial management and administrative oversight.
