Ballarat Health Services (BHS) operates the Ballarat Base Hospital, the largest regional hospital in the Grampians region. It is the principal referral hospital for the entire region, which extends from Bacchus Marsh to the South Australian border, an area of 48,000 square kilometers.
More than 230,000 people, or 4.4 per cent of the population of Victoria, live in the Grampians Region.
Employing around 4,000 staff, BHS’ mission is to deliver quality care to the communities we serve by providing safe, accessible and integrated health services resulting in positive experiences and outcomes.
Ballarat Health Services was established on 1 January 1997 to unite and enhance three respected public health services: Queen Elizabeth Centre, Ballarat Base Hospital and Grampians Psychiatric Services.
Why make the move to Ballarat? Ballarat is a great place to live, with low commuting times, a clean, safe environment and all the facilities you would expect from a regional city. With a population of around 100,000 residents Ballarat offers premium job opportunities, world-class education, affordable housing, exciting restaurants and retail options, accessible community services, beautiful heritage, first-class events and a great lifestyle for all. Lifestyle, investment and employment opportunities are all reasons why more than 2,000 people choose to relocate to Ballarat every year. For further information on Ballarat you can visit the City of Ballarat website http://www.ballarat.vic.gov.au/.
BHS has an exciting opportunity to be a part of a large redesign project within the Specialist Outpatient Clinics. The purpose of the role is to support the Project Manager to roll out an electronic referral management system, including workforce change management and promotional activities associated with the implementation of the electronic referral management system. You will have the opportunity to engage with many key stakeholders and form an integral part of the redesign team in the Specialist Outpatient Clinics at BHS.
