Social Worker Graduate – Grade 1
Full time – Fixed term (12 months)
80 hours per fortnight with monthly ADO
An enthusiastic Graduate Social Worker is sought to provide services to various clinical areas at Ballarat Health services. This position aims to provide extensive learning and development opportunities across various clinical programs. Primary responsibilities include clinical skills and a passion for working in healthcare, excellent communication and collaboration in pursuit of team and patient/family goals is essential. Sound knowledge and experience in undertaking psychosocial assessments, excellent communications skills, complex discharge planning and the ability to work well under pressure and in pursuit of patient and team needs/goals is required. Experience in working in healthcare settings would be a highly desirable attribute.

There is excellent support from within the senior and broader Social Work Team. Professional development is supported through regular in-service education, supervision in line with AASW requirements and the ability to attend continuing education where appropriate.

- Demonstrated sound knowledge in Social Work theory and practice skills
- Some knowledge of working in acute/sub acute environments (via clinical placement would be desirable)
