Ward Assistant
Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM), Jim Gay Unit

60 hrs per fortnight

Ballarat Health Services is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Ward Assistant to work in the Jim Gay Unit (GEM). Duties will include assisting with food service preparation, cleaning and other duties as required.

Successful applicants will possess a high degree of flexibility and initiative, have an eye for detail and a willingness to learn. Applicants must possess a current Food Handling Certificate (HLTFSE001 – Follow Basic Food Safety Practices).

The successful applicant must be able to provide a high standard of work performance and have good communication skills. The ability to work well with others in the team is important, as is the ability to work without supervision when required.

Successful applicants will be expected to work a cross a 7day a week roster inclucing which may include public holidays. .

Working within a multidisciplinary team you will be expected to facilitate and foster best practise and service delivery to our clients and their families within the GEM Unit.
