Registered Nurses – Refresher/Return to Practice
Fixed Term Part Time – 48 hours per fortnight
As part of the Ballarat Health Services COVID-19 response

The Ballarat Health Services Registered Nurse Refresher Program enables participants to either re-enter the workforce, or change their area of practice, by providing structured education and clinical exposure to update knowledge and skills, and re-establish and enhance your confidence to practice.
Participants will undertake:
An educational development program for a period of two weeks (4 days per week), incorporating intensive clinical simulation to update skills and knowledge.
A further 5 weeks of supported practice with supernumerary shifts across acute clinical areas.
A Clinical Support Nurse will work across the organisation offering supervision and support to all Refresher Nurses.
Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be eligible to apply for employment at Ballarat Health Services.
Education Program and Supported Practice – Proposed starting date of 1st December 2020.
Existing Ballarat Health Services employees who wish to upskill or change work areas are encouraged to apply for the program, however you must hold a current AHPRA Registered Nurse registration.
